Universal compression fittings

The range is called universal because it offers the maximum number of direct fitting alternatives with the minimum number of components. The installation requires a body, an olive, a nut and a tube. Assembly is direct, without soldering or tubing preparation. Sealing is insured by the presence of a nut and a ring.

Installation

. cut the tube square, deburr inner and outer edges. Any tube bending must be completed prior to connection.
. push the sleeve nut onto the tube ; for large diameters, having lubricated the inside of the nut helps when tightening.
. fit the olive onto the end of the tube, after the sleeve nut.
. push the tube fully home against the shoulder of the body of the fitting.
. tighten the nut letting the olive bite into the tube securing the fitting.
. remember to use a ferrule when assembling soft plastic tubing.

- wide range of working pressure: low to medium (hydraulic)
- lots of types of fluids : compressed air, fuel oil, water, hydrocarbon…
- full flow (no restrictions) as gripping and sealing are made on the outside of the tube
